Automatic Power Factor Controller (APFC) is meant to provide balanced reactive power compensation in an electrical system through automatic switching of capacitor banks by Thyristor Switching, Contractor Switching or Hybrid Switching using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). High Transmission power consumers benefit largely owing to reduced KVA consumption and incentive/no penalty due to resultant better Power Factor. Indirectly, the consumer also contribute to the National cause of energy saving and also to reduce CO2 emissions
Load Management Systems
Load Management Systems (LMS) are used to switch two LT circuits of Distribution Transformers of 11 KV feeders alternatively or as per predetermined schedule which controls the load fed by two circuits depending on the system requirement. LMS consist of Programmable Logic Control (PLC), MCCB, MCB, Bus bars, Contractors, CT's, Energy Meters, Modems, etc to provide all the load control functions and enable 24 hours supply to all consumers as per the requirement. PLC shall also facilitate timely Audit of the Transformer by communicating and acquiring all the necessary data from the Energy Meters
